Graphics Lab

Just writing a quick post on my on one of my friends who recently went out on his own as a graphics designer and setup a business called Graphics Lab. You can find his graphic design work on his personal website www.albertohogan.com.

Gmail dumped all spam mails into my Inbox

Not sure what is happening with my gmail account but my spam folder which contains usually on average 8000 mails only has 4 in it at the moment and in contrast my inbox has 5500+ emails in it which the majority of them are spam.

Something bizarre is going on, either someone hacked into my account or there has been a major mess up after happening at google. After what happened with their search filter telling you every website is harmful I would be leaning towards it being a cock up on their part but sure we’ll wait and see.

Has anybody else had this problem?

New 2D 3D Community

We provide 3D Modeing and Animation at Weeno and we like to be part of the industry and community of all the services we provide. We have attended various meetups and use the the community forums that are associated with the web design and development.

I wanted to do the same with 3D, meet with people in the industry and talk with people on community forums and so on, you know yourself. Unfortunately in my searching I didn’t find much, there is a community of game developers and various other smaller groups like 3D Camp that focus on Second Life and similar areas concerning 3D. Nothing really that was the focal point of the 3D community in Ireland.

I was on creative ireland a few weeks back and was asking about community site and meetups for 3D professionals in Ireland and nobody seemed to know of any site that was really dedicated to 3D. In finding this out and dicussing the topic with like minded individuals, a fellow 3d artist and myself decided to setup a new community forum which we hope to expand if there is a decent community out there.

We decide that we would incorporate 2D Animation and Motion Graphics to appeal to more people and people that are interested in both. The site has a simple name with a simple purpose, to build a community,

Finding Part Time work online

My younger sister is studying in college at the moment and like most college students needs to find a job that works around her classes and provides her with some kind of social life. She has been looking around the area she is living and online and she asked me to let her know if I heard of anything as well. When she asked me I said I would have a quick look online and see what I can find, in doing this I found that most of the job sites I came across don’t provide that comprehensive of a list of part time jobs, the focus is more towards full time jobs. The best site I came across is www.fas.ie, it clearly segments the full time from the part time. I didn’t look to deep into this but I hope there is a decent resource for people to find part time jobs.

Please post any suggestions if you have them and I’ll pass them on to my sister.

Blacknight Domain Search on Mozilla

Hey folks, we posted ages ago about the Blacknight domain addon for firefox we developed. Well since then Blacknight have changed there domain registration system so we had to update the addon so it kept working and making lots of peoples lives that little bit handier.

Busy put churning them out

Couple a weeks back we made Grange Handling Groups catalogue site live, this site dragged out for months as some sites do, our client wanted to add more and more. We were happy to help and we are very proud of the completed site. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks we’ll have another 2 sites live. I’ll throw up the details anyway and have some background about our latest work.
