Gmail dumped all spam mails into my Inbox

February 1st, 2009 by Paul

Not sure what is happening with my gmail account but my spam folder which contains usually on average 8000 mails only has 4 in it at the moment and in contrast my inbox has 5500+ emails in it which the majority of them are spam.

Something bizarre is going on, either someone hacked into my account or there has been a major mess up after happening at google. After what happened with their search filter telling you every website is harmful I would be leaning towards it being a cock up on their part but sure we’ll wait and see.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Boy are you not alone! This happened to me today as well, and I suspect that it’s happening world-wide. I know that Google had some major spam filter screw up yesterday, involving marking every website as harmful, but it looks like things just went screwier today.

I think some one seems to hack your account. Keep your account protective, set the Bowser connection in yout gamil setting as Always use https to protect your account from hackers.
